Sam's Two-Part Senior Session
I've been really into working with seniors or soon-to-be-seniors. Nothing overdone, just simple photos of who they are, building a personal connection with them in the process. I also enjoy getting to know their families and their interests, and I feel honored to be a part of their senior experience. When I think of Sam, the impression he has left on me is that I hope my son will be like him when he's a junior in high school. It's also notable that his family lives in my childhood friend's house! I was going through his photos, and I was compelled to text his mom with this message:
"Hi! I'm just going through Sam's photos and wanted to tell you how great he is. What a wonderful, charming son you are raising! He is confident and polite, and it seemed like he really has his priorities in line. I hope my children are like him Just thought I would pass that along!"
And it's true. Sam is involved in a lot at school, including band, soccer, baseball, and leading the student section at the football games through a club he and his friends developed. He's traveling to Spain with his high school Spanish teacher (another close friend of mine since second grade with too many connections to name). And that's just the tip of the iceburg. He also is working during the summer and has goals for his future. I can't help but think his parents did something (or many things) right. I know I've said it, but I'll say it again...photographing seniors gives me a new hope for the future of humanity!
Sam's photos were taken indoor, with a simple backdrop for a fine art feel, and outdoor at his high school football/soccer field. If you are looking for a senior photographer in the Columbus, Ohio area, I'd love to chat about how we can make your ideal session(s) come to life! Please send me a message via my contact page!
