Liv's Senior Session
The seniors I've had the pleasure of photographing this spring have been nothing short of awesome! One of the things I love most about what I do is getting to know new people and feeling inspired by the good and kindness I find in others. This young lady will be a senior at Bexley High School next year, and she certainly has a laid-back, sweet spirit that I feel came through in her photos from our time together.
I met Liv through a random encounter with her mom at my daughter's gymnastics class. I recognized Liv's preschool sister when I saw her in the class from photographing her though my school photography side of business, so I introduced myself to her mom. We discovered we could be a good match for Liv's senior photos, and the rest is history! How much fun is that?
I think seniors often don't know what to expect with their session, and it's common to feel nervous about them. Thus far, I've found that just talking with each other and getting comfortable makes a huge difference in the end result, and my opinion is that senior photos don't need to be overdone or elaborate. Just like in my family work, my goal is to capture the soul of the subject, the beauty from within. I can't wait to work with more seniors as time rolls on, and I always welcome individual and unique ideas for sessions! At the end of our session, Liv told me with a smile that she had a lot of fun, which is exactly what I love to hear as I feel it reflects a genuine connection.
I can't wait to see what you accomplish in your senior year, Liv. Thank you for inviting me to peek into your world for awhile.
